Early Years Open House – Join Us for a Morning of “Monster” Fun

We are delighted to invite children aged 2–5 to our Open House on Saturday, 28th March, inspired by the beloved book The Colour Monster.

Begin the morning with a cosy Shared Story Session, then let your child explore our hands-on outdoor learning stations:

1. Colour Sorting Jars
A fun way to develop fine motor skills using tweezers and tongs to sort colourful pom-poms by emotion.

2. Sensory Play Dough
Children create their own unique monsters using emotion-coloured dough and loose parts.

3. Story Retelling Corner
Using puppets and emotion cards, children bring stories to life in their own words.

4. “How Are You Feeling?” Self-Portraits
An expressive arts activity where children create monster portraits reflecting their feelings.

Meet our teachers and TAs, explore our outdoor learning environment, and discover how we nurture emotional literacy through everyday play.
